Barefoot sandals ~ Pretty feet

These are a new prototype of my latest creation: barefoot sandals.  Initiallly I created them for beach weddings using pearls, crystals etc but these are for more every day use.  Can be made in any colour and size to suit.

Knitting ~ Mocha Chocca bag

As I sat helping my daughter to knit recently I was bitten by the bug and am now in the process of creating a series of bags for crystalvelvet.co.uk using textures yearns.

The first completed bag is the Mocha chocca bag which is created from eyelash wool. It is lined with a cotton ochre lining.

Now back to the knitting needles where I’m working an autumned toned sholder bag.

Watches ~ a whole load of sparkles!!

Here my latest batch of Swarovski crystal watches… perfect for the party season!!

Treasure trove necklace.

This is my latest creation and it is definatly not for sale.

At the weekend I collected together all my broken jewellery, bits of grandmas jewellery, buttons from my daughters first cardigan, lost earrings etc.

I have put them on this heavy chain and am really pleased with my heirloom necklace.  it’s a little like scrapbooking on a chain!www.crystalvelvet.co.uk

Bracelets ~ a medley of lampwork charms!

Seems like I’m in a bracelet mood at the moment.  i’ve spent the last few nights creating some lampwork charm bracelets in a whole range of colours.

These chunky bracelets  have a lobster clasp and extender chain closure.

My person favourite is the autumn tones one.  perfect for the current season with the tumbling golden leaves!www.crystalvelvet.co.uk

Christmas Crafts ~ The Nativity Bracelet

The bracelet holds a secret…… A story told in jewels and beads!

The bracelets different componants are all representative of the elements of the Nativity story.  The bracelet comes boxed with a delightful poem unraveling the mysteries held within the bracelet.

They are available in three sizes.  Child, adult and extra size.  They are also available with a lobster clasp and extender chain for those who find the toggel clasp too fidly.

Bag ~ Autumn Swathes

A patchwork of velvet and woollen fabrics combine together to create this autumn toned bag.  Lined with deep brown lining.  Velvet shoulder strap completes the look.  Can be used front or back depending on the mood.  Embroidery and applique design along with buttons and a beaded tie fastening complete the embellishments.

One for the boys ~ cufflinks

It seems as though the men in my life miss out when it comes to my work.  I make handbags, watches, earrings, necklaces etc, but aside from the odd necklace, the entire range has so far been aimed at women (or men who are extremely in touch with their feminine side).

To correct the ballance (just a little) I’ve been creating cufflinks.  I am very pleased with the results.  Just waiting now for more supplies to extend the range.

Watch ~ Swarovski crystal and daisies

I’ve been battling down the hatches and starting the work up to christmas and my open house etc.  Last year I had several sell outs so promissed myself that I’d get my act together this year and have plenty of stock in.

This is a watch I created last night using my favourite swarovski crystal in Ab finish.  I’ve teamed them up with Czech seed beads and bali daisies in an intertwining strap.

Bespoke Dinky Bags by Shirelle

A friend of mine has made these dinky bags.  I don’t get the chance to visit her very often but when I do we always have a good catch up on what she has been creating.  On my last visit, she showed me a handful of these little bags, made from thick paper and using various techniques.

My favourites are the wax crayon and ink wash effect – very bright and unusual, and each one unique.  Also shown are the flower and leaf stamped bags.

Shirelle makes these on a very limited budget but it always amazes me to see what she has created from very little outlay.  They are ideal to use as an unusual gift bag for when wrapping something so small becomes a sellotape nightmare.

I have requested 20 of the little bags as I use them to put loose die cuts in as a thank you for website orders.   And I hope that Shirelle can make many more and I can offer them exclusively through Tip Top Toppers.
